The Buffalo Theory by Cliff Claven
My favorite "Cheers" story.. Joe In an episode of "Cheers," Cliff Clavin, the trivia-spouting, quirky, irksome mama's boy mailman is seated at the bar describing the buffalo theory to his buddy, Norm Peterson, the beer loving heavyweight bar stool sitting perpetual patron. Cliff expounds his "Buffalo Theory" to Norm: “Well, you see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it’s the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.” |

64 Google+ Content Strategies [Infographic]
Today I came across a great infographic from Maria Peagler about Google+ content strategies. Maria does a fantastic job explaining how Google+ can be best used by small businesses. As the VP of Internet Marketing for Shark Bite SEO , I employ all of her strategies on a daily basis and I feel that this is one of the most comprehensive infographics I have seen to date on Google+ strategy. You can read more from Maria here.

Jilly Yums Cupcakes and Treats has their own app!
JILLY YUMS CUPCAKES & TREATS is an independently owned shop in Easthampton, MA owned an operated by Jill DeSotle. Jill is a self-taught cupcake/dessert artist who started baking in 2008 when she lost her job and needed a hobby. Since then, Jilly Yums has grown from a hobby to a business creating baked masterpieces for Birthday's, Wedding's, Bachelorettes, Sweet 16's, Bar Mitzvah's, Christening's, and just about any other kind of get together you can think of. They have a great menu and if you don't see what you want on there just ask, she is more than happy to accommodate your wishes.

When Jilly Yums wanted to create a mobile app she immediately turned to appsbar.com. She used six different app modules within her app. She included a contact page so people can get in touch with her, photos of her creations, social media links to her facebook and twitter, a link to her website, and a questions page which is a forms page where users can submit questions directly to her. What a fantastic app and its making me hungry just writing about it!
